Get paint color tips, project ideas & product advice for DIY and Pros.Sherwin-Williams America’s Group is in search of a Digital Marketing Lead Specialist, Content & SEO with 3+ years of professional SEO experience, with knowledge of and experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods digital and eCommerce environments. The Digital Marketing Lead Specialist, Content & SEO will work within a robust eBusiness support team to help support varying content marketing initiatives to improve the Global Architectural Marketing (GAM) family of brands (Sherwin-Williams, Valspar, HGTV by Sherwin-Williams, Minwax, Cabot, Purdy, Thompson’s WaterSeal, Dutch Boy, and Krylon) presence online, in organic search results, and to drive sales online and in-stores. This position will also be responsible for assisting with content entry across existing Content Management System(s), aiding in conducting site audits, coordinate internal site search efforts, and working to find efficiencies in these efforts across brands.

- Develop and execute recommendations for content optimization, link building, website improvements, local SEO, emerging AI, and Large Language Model (LLM) search results, and other initiatives in support of the organic growth of SW brands online.
- Leverage internal and external analytics tools to measure and report on site performance and identify, define, and address technical or quality-related issues that might be affecting the overall organic traffic performance.
- Partner with vendors, agencies, project budgets, and cross-functional teams in the execution of SEO strategies and site performance and to maintain adherence with current and emerging best-practices.
- Manage the business case development and backlog of technical SEO elements and SEO best practices such as structured data, schema, site maps, optimizing page load speed, indexation, canonicals, and redirects.
- Execute and drive keyword research and strategy in support of GAM web portfolio performance across organic search channels inclusive of AI Overviews (AIOs) and LLMs.
- Perform keyword research and strategy development, website performance analysis, gap analysis, competitor analysis, content, and technical audits across all of the brands
- Develop performance dashboards that illustrate content performance metrics and recommendations against pre-established KPIs on a recurring and one-off basis across all of the brands to help support cross-functional teams
- Work cross-functionally with eBusiness, Analytics, MarComm, Brand Teams, IT and Data teams to effectively support the holistic marketing campaigns and tactics that support pre-defined KPIs across all brands
- Administer Sherwin-Williams site search function to deliver optimal results based on best practices, trends, data, industry insights and evolving marketing strategies defined by internal business units
- Remain up to date on digital search marketing trends
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent of Relevant Experience
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in SEO, SEM within social media, email marketing, analytics and holistic marketing campaigns
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with technical SEO including structured data, site maps, optimizing page load speed, crawl budget and indexing, canonicals, redirects.
Preferred:
- Expertise in developing and administering standardized SEO reporting on a recurring cadence, provide analyses and the ability to effectively communicate insights and recommended optimizations.
- Ability to synthesize multiple sources of input (data, business stakeholders, client research, design) and arrive at high quality decisions.
- Expertise setting strategy and administrating search rules for on-site search appliances
- Expertise in developing and administering eCommerce-driven search strategies
- Expertise optimizing mobile application content in-app and in app stores.
TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- Expert in utilizing SEO tools such as BrightEdge, Google Ads, Screaming frog, Lumar and/or other SEO tools for use of tactic and campaign development, reporting and strategic purpose
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console,Google AdWords, Bing Webmaster Tools and/or other analytics platforms
- Excels in copywriting
- Experience working with CMS environments such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and WordPress, or other content management systems
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and project leadership skills, especially manager-level communication and the ability to tell a compelling story.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager
- General knowledge of HTML/CSS and website administration
- Familiarity with SOLR site search
