Your RoleWe are looking for a highly motivated working student to support us in the development of our innovative BMS (battery management systems). You will assist our team of software engineers to gain hands-on experience in algorithm development and to profoundly deepen your knowledge around data science projects, electric vehicle batteries and battery management as part of an innovative and unique team.

Your RoleWe are looking for a highly motivated working student to support us in the development of our innovative BMS (battery management systems). You will assist our team of software engineers to gain hands-on experience in algorithm development and to profoundly deepen your knowledge around data science projects, electric vehicle batteries and battery management as part of an innovative and unique team.
Your future tasks at a glance
- Contribute to a highly innovative research project utilizing AI backed digital twins to optimize lithium-ion battery aging
- Help with the development and improvement of our cell models and high-level algorithms to estimate and predict the state of a battery pack
- Support our team with maintaining /extending of our data pipeline infrastructure (including tasks such as data sourcing, cleansing or validation)
- Evaluate, implement and document proof of concepts of future algorithms
What you bring with you
- Master student in electrical / control engineering, physics, mathematics, technical cybernetics, or a similar field
- Solid experience in a high-level programming language (Python or MATLAB)
- Good knowledge on modeling and state estimation of dynamical systems (linear and nonlinear
- ordinary differential equation, partial differential equation, Kalman filter)
- Ideally knowledge of tools and frameworks like Git, Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, Grafana, Prometheus
- Ideally initial insights in modeling and simulating the behavior of lithium-ion battery cells
- Ideally initial experience with machine learning frameworks and optimization techniques in Python
- Willingness to take responsibility of a project and not to be discouraged by setbacks
- Preference for working in teams and strong communication skills (English and German preferred)
