Overview

Nakupuna Federal is seeking a Data Analyst, visualization expert, and program management professional to join our team of talented consultants providing professional services to an Army customer. The ideal candidate should be familiar with military customs and courtesies, have strong oral and written communication skills. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

  • Provide applicable reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to analyze timelines, performance, statistics, workload balancing, and trend analysis.
  • Present findings and translate the data into useable formats.
  • Provide program management support functions, to include note taking and brief development.
  • Compile, organize, and clean data for input into dashboards.
  • Apply sound strategies for obtaining quality data from different sources, integrating, and developing actionable information to support quantitative analysis.
  • Assist in the design of processes, tools, or databases to distill key findings and provide recommendations to improve the program.
  • Maintain and collect data using different tools and statistical techniques such as MS SQL queries from various databases, such as but not limited to MS Excel, MS Access, SharePoint and data management systems to provide accurate and reliable administrative reports, presentations and dashboards, as required.

Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications:  Excellent technical skills, organizational and planning skills, communication, and problem-solving skills, problem analysis, attention to detail and accuracy, solid judgment and decision-making ability, takes initiative and is adaptable and customer service oriented. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities with minimum direction and supervision. Specifically, the ideal candidate will be familiar with, and have experience with the following technical knowledge, skills, and abilities:

 

  • Demonstrated experience working with Power BI and/or Tableau, SharePoint, Excel, SQL, and programming languages (e.g., Python).
  • Experience with PowerApps preferred.
  • Strong quantitative ability and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with DoD is preferred.

 

Education/Experience: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 3+ years of relevant professional experience in data analysis and visualization.

 

Clearance Requirements: Active Secret. Must be a U.S. citizen.

 

Work Location: On site at the Pentagon and Taylor building.

 

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation: 

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers. 
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations. 
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
