This job description is for a position at Asset Impact, an impact-driven climate-data company that has been part of GRESB since 2022.

We are seeking a Mid/Senior Product Manager to help manage and further develop our unique asset-based data products, from engaging with clients to overseeing the technical implementation and releases.

Responsibilities

The person will work closely with the Chief Product Officer, as well as liaise with Asset Impact’s functional teams, including Technology & Data, Business Development, Product, Delivery & Support, and Marketing & Communications.

We are looking for an experienced professional who thrives in a dynamic working environment, can quickly adapt to new requirements, is a creative problem solver, and is an excellent communicator: 

 - Contribute to the development, maintenance and execution of Asset Impact’s product roadmap

- Define business and functional specifications for implementation by Technology & Data teams.

- Collect and analyse market requirements via direct engagement with clients and market participants.

-  Provide strategic and tactical input to the design and development of new products and services that align with Asset Impact’s strategy, working with innovation teams to develop Asset Impact’s early-stage pipeline of products.

- Manage projects through the full product life cycle, including working with data scientists, software engineers and subject matter experts, using appropriate tools and techniques at each stage.

-  Prioritise and take ownership of product development upgrades including engaging with clients during the sale process to present products and features and address their questions.

-  Work with engineers and quality assurance teams to provide product insights and implement new features.

-  Collaborate with internal teams to build robust and efficient operational processes that improve and ensure product quality.

Requirements

- Right to work in Germany

Required skill

- Working knowledge of sustainable finance, climate finance, corporate sustainability or related areas, acquired through an experience within a financial institution, a data/solution provider or a consultancy.

- Proven experience working in an Agile environment, with a strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile frameworks, while demonstrating flexibility in adapting methodologies to best fit the team and business needs.

- 3-6 years experience in product management or adjacent roles working with multidisciplinary teams to develop data products and services.

- Degree in a relevant field in engineering, computer science, business, finance, or sustainability.

 - Attention to detail, analytical thinking, solving complex problems, and working well under pressure are essential.

 - Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders regularly.  

- English as a working language.

Preferred skills

 - Understanding of major European financial organisations and familiarity with climate initiatives and tools (e.g., PCAF, TCFD, SFDR, SBTi, Net-Zero Alliances).

 - Strong understanding of climate change and sustainability issues as they apply to the financial sector.

 - Experience effectively translating technical concepts into client-facing presentations and documentation.

 - Proficiency in working with data in Excel, R, SQL, or Python.  Experience designing and shaping web UI/UX

 - Experience with product management tools like ClickUp, Figma, Miro, etc.

  - Fluency in European languages other than English (French, Spanish, German).
