Opportunity Overview:

Seeking a Junior Level Engineer who is motivated and passionate in Product and Process development, qualifying and releasing next generation Semi-Test instrumentation (Digital, AC/DC & RF) as well as Platform Integration, Test and Qualification into High Volume Manufacturing. 

 

The ability to focus on the task at hand, follow-through on the prescribed plan and the ability to be flexible and think under pressure are all key to this role. We are seeking highly motivated individuals who have a strong desire to learn and poses a team player attitude.  


  

  • Design, Develop and Release of manufacturing and test strategies and processes from module to system level aligned with technology and manufacturing flow of Teradyne’s ATE Business (Design-for-Test) 
  • Support in the analysis of products, test fixtures, software, and systems, using statistical techniques. 
  • Support in the evaluation of prototype and finished products for functionality and conformance to design and manufacturing specifications 
  • Review/Assess manufacturing process capability and identify/recommend opportunities or enhancements 
  • Test & debug products throughout the design process (Prototype to Production Release) 
  • Participate & support Failure Analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action 
  • Fine-tuning designs, manufacturing, and acceptance test processes until they are ready for production 
  • Review design documents ensuring functional test and debug requirements are maintained (system requirements, schematics, calibration strategies, software & hardware descriptions, etc.) 
  • Provide support & training to pilot lines, production teams and transfer of new products to volume manufacturing. (Product and Processes)

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering/engineering technology, or a related field 
  • 1 to 3 Years working in semi-test or similar industry. 
  • Experienced with common measurement instruments (Digital Oscilloscopes, DMM’s etc.)  
  • Experienced with common RF measurement instruments a Plus (Vector Network Analyzer, Spectrum analyzers, Signal generators, etc.)  
  • Experience in troubleshooting of electrical assemblies/PCBA’s down to component level (a plus).  
  • Demonstrated ability to read and decipher electrical schematics, data sheets and specification documents. 
  • Systems Integration, Debug and Test (a plus) 
  • Experience/Knowledge with measurement techniques and process controls for yield analysis, statistics CP/CPK, and normal distributions (a plus) 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills 
  • Familiarity with FMEA and structured problem solving( a plus). 
  • Working knowledge of Scripting language (Perl, Python, etc.) Visual Basic / C# .NET is a plus. 
  • Working knowledge of MS-Office and related applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) 
  • Ability for domestic or international travel (Required) 
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. No Visa sponsorship available 

 

Compensation:

The base salary range for this role is $74,800 - $119,600. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.  

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
