Who We Are

HII is currently seeking a Engineer Software Developer 1 to work out of our San Diego office. HII provides software development and IT support to the MK 18 Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (UUV) program at Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific. The MK 18 program features Hydroid’s REMUS 100 & 600 unmanned vehicles and will be an important part of future littoral surveillance and mine counter measures efforts by our military customer.

What You Will Do

• Work as part of a programming team to develop a UUV mission planning, mission monitoring, and post-mission analysis application.

• Collaborate with outside development teams to ensure functionality of external program plug-ins.

• Receive assignments from program lead developer and perform periodic code reviews.

• General frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.

• Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks.

• Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of Angular 10+ experience.

• A minimum of one year of Python experience.

• Experience with JavaScript-based open-source web application framework like Angular, React, Vue or Ember required.

• MUST possess an Active SECRET security clearance.

• One year of software development and coding experience with the angular open-source web application framework

• Must possess active SECRET security clearance - The selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

• 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.

Physical Requirements

Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of Software Engineer family.
