URBN Transportation Data Quality Analyst

Role Summary

As part of the Urban Outfitters Transportation Operations team, you will be accountable for ensuring all merchandise purchase orders comply with Transportation procedures to enable the most efficient delivery to our distribution centers. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of freight estimates and relevant purchase order attributes with the goal of driving compliance to standards.

Role Responsibilities

• Review and verify purchase orders for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Transportation policies and procedures
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any discrepancies that may affect the successful delivery of merchandise purchase orders
• Conduct regular audits of freight cost estimates applied to purchase orders, identify the root cause of discrepancies and facilitate corrective actions
• Manage freight payment exceptions related to ocean and air imports
• Provide training and support to staff on purchase order processes and quality control standards related to freight estimates, ship mode and key milestones
• Develop appropriate KPIs to track performance and measure improvement
• Collaborate with URBN Technology, Brands, Sourcing and Finance to maintain the appropriate purchase order standards relating to the movement of goods

Role Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree preferred 
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, prioritizing and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence
• Ability to develop creative solutions when troubleshooting
• Ability to work well within a team environment; demonstrating strong interpersonal skills
• High sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficient with MS Office applications, strong Excel skills
• Exhibits a high energy level as well as a positive attitude
