Responsibilities:

A. RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Forest Biometrician is responsible to quantitative data analysis to provide accurate information for decision support. Provide technical expertise to assess plantation forest productivity regularly through optimum forest measurement with ground forest inventory or remote sensing method (LiDAR). Identify opportunities that can improve fiber business processes. Provide information of forest productivity, develop growth and yield (G&Y) model, forest management tools equation based on forest inventory, PSP, or trial data collection. Area responsibilities include:

1. Develop and Update G&Y models and yield table based on plantation forest inventory or PSP data to improve stand potential estimation.
2. Regular quantitative data analysis of plantation forest performance compared to benchmark. 
3. Quantitative hypothetical analysis for decision support. 
4. Develop site productivity map of plantation forest.
5. Develop stand damage risk based on plantation forest inventory and other data sources.
6. Develop forest management tools equation: taper/tree volume, biomass, moisture content, wood density, conversion factor, correction factor and implement PIMS.
7. Provide forest measurement protocols to meet accuracy at the range of confidence level, to assess plantation performance in operational or trial scale. 
8. Develop database management system and digital platform to storage and analyze forest measurement data automatically. 
8. Support sustainability program by establishes measurement protocol and data analysis of natural forest in conservation/restoration area.  
9. Contribute in LEAN project to improve business process continuously. 
10. Implement HSE protocol for business sustainability.

B. EDUCATION: 
1. Minimum bachelor's degree in forest management focus on forest biometrics, statistics, or computer science with more than 4-year experiences. Or, 
2. Master's degree in forest management focus on forest biometrics, statistics, or computer science with more than 2-year experiences.  

C. BUSINESS PROCESS UNDERSTANDING:
1. Work as team in forest data analysis and provide accurate forest information for decision support.  
2. Use scientific information to engage internal and external stakeholders to improves forest business process continuously. 
3. Capable to manage Company resources with low cost.

D. SKILLS: 
1. Good capabilities in forest biometrics: forest measurement, sampling method, statistical data analysis of forest attribute.  
2. Computer literate: MS Office (Outlook, excel, word, power point), Statistical analysis (SAS or R-Statistic or Python), Database (MS Access, or Oracle, or SQL), spatial analysis (ArcGIS or QGIS), business intelligence (Power BI, or Tableau, or QlickView), and Computer and artificial intelligence programming (Delphi, or VBA, or C, or PHP, or ASP.Net).
2. Good analytic thinking and creative.
4. Team player in planning, supervision, mentoring, coordination, organizing, implementation, monitoring, reporting and presenting).
5. Available for business travel. 
6. Good communication skills both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
