About the Research Engineering Team:
Would you like to be part of a dynamic team that solves complex challenges and drives innovation in ad personalization for over 1.4 billion daily active users?  Our Research Engineering team develops end-to-end services that power personalized ad delivery, leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies and data-driven engineering to enhance advertiser effectiveness and user experience. If you’re a Frontend Engineer that has worked on HCI and UX design or a Backend Engineer who cares deeply about product design and has a lens of HCI and UX, we’d love to talk!

What We Look For:

• Deep Curiosity & Problem-Solving: We seek self-starters who thrive in ambiguity, enjoy tackling open-ended challenges, and experiment to find the best solutions.
• Technical Versatility: Strong backend engineering skills, product and data intuition, and a fast learning curve are key. ML experience is a plus but not required!
• Data-Driven Engineering: Data informs every decision we make, helping us build scalable, high-impact solutions that continuously improve.
• Experience Level: 0 to 4 years of industry experience in software engineering, data engineering, or a related field.

What You’ll Do:

• Engineer features from user journey data to refine machine learning models and improve ad relevance. 
• Design and develop scalable backend services that power our personalized ad delivery infrastructure.
• Research and experiment with Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), UI/UX, and product designs to craft engaging and effective ad experiences.
• Leverage AI technologies, including generative models, to enhance ad personalization and optimize campaign performance.

AppLovin provides a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance rewards approach. Total compensation at AppLovin is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Depending on the position offered, equity, and other forms of incentive compensation (as applicable) may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to dental, vision, and other benefits.
