As an Engineering Manager at Veeam, you will lead the team developing and operating customer facing AI/ML-driven services in the Veeam Data Cloud product. With a high level of autonomy, you are expected to achieve and be accountable for delivering business results.

Your tasks will include:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of AI/ML and Backend engineers
  • Drive end-to-end AI/ML deployment, from model training and validation to production integration and operations
  • Define the AI/ML roadmap in collaboration with product management ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Actively participate in design discussions, design reviews, and code reviews
  • Act as a point of escalation during on-call and support the team as needed during on-call
  • Promote Engineering and Operational Excellence best practices across your team
  • Promote career development of team members
  • Play an active role in the broader Engineering leadership team to promote continuous improvement across the Engineering team and cross-team collaboration

What we expect from you:

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on AI/ML and data-driven product development
  • 3+ years of experience software engineering management experience
  • Experience deploying AI models in production at scale, with knowledge of MLOps best practices
  • Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence with a talented and opinionated team
  • Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate data driven decisions that lead to results
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

The salary range posted is On Target Earnings (OTE), which is inclusive of base and variable pay. When making an offer of employment, Veeam will take into consideration the candidate’s expectations, experience, education, scope of responsibility for the role, and the current market demands.
