Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to drive strategic business decisions. This role requires a deep understanding of data analytics, statistical modeling, and business intelligence tools. The Senior Data Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop insights, optimize processes, and improve data-driven decision-making across the organization.

This role requires that you work onsite at our office in Palo Alto, CA in accordance with our hybrid policy.

Key Responsibilities:

· Analyze large and complex datasets to provide actionable business insights.

· Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to track key performance indicators (KPIs).

· Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and define data requirements.

· Gather business requirements and map them to relevant KPIs and data sources.

· Ensure that business requirements align with data availability and quality constraints.

· Clean, transform, and validate data to ensure accuracy and reliability.

· Perform statistical analyses and predictive modeling to identify trends and opportunities.

· Utilize SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages for data extraction and analysis.

· Work with database management systems and data warehouses to structure and organize data efficiently.

· Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.

· Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics.

 

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.

· 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related role.

· Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.

· Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

· Strong statistical and analytical skills with experience in Python, R, or similar programming languages.

· Knowledge of machine learning techniques and predictive modeling is a plus.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data findings into business insights.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Experience working in Agile development model using JIRA or similar project management tools.

· Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is a plus.

· Experience in Healthcare industry and understanding the regulations, standards and processes is a huge plus

· Experience and understanding of Billing, Reimbursement and Claims Adjudication process in healthcare is a plus

Additional Information

Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. At Guardant, our work model has created flexibility for better work-life balance while keeping teams connected to advance our science for our patients.

For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the base salary range for this full-time position is $111,100 to $149,940. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
