Your Tasks

Corporate data model roadmap creation based on business value-driven prioritization
Product backlog creation and steering of an agile development team of data engineers (m/f/d) and analysts (m/f/d)
Group-wide stakeholder relationship management with product and BI teams, emphasizing clear communication and business objective alignment
Hub-and-spoke data architecture implementation and oversight
Comprehensive business data documentation ensuring clarity and usability
Data quality, security, and compliance assurance through data standards enforcement

Your Profile

Technical background (computer science, mathematics, or related) completed by strong business acumen, or a background linked to business administration completed with a proven interest and upskilling in subjects like (cloud-) data systems, analytics tools, or BI
Demonstrated expertise in enterprise data management, advanced data warehouse backend modeling techniques, and architectural design
Professional experience in requirements engineering in the field of business intelligence, data warehousing or analytics
Deep understanding of data integration principles and emerging data ecosystem technologies
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to translate technical complexities into business terms
Proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional projects with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Sophisticated understanding of retail business models and processes desirable
German and English communication confidence and proficiency, both with specialist departments and an agile team
Basic experience with the following technologies is a strong plus: Google Cloud Platform Big Query, Looker, and DataHub are a strong plus

About Us

Group Data & Analytics is a unit with group-wide mandate, steering and leading Data & Analytics related topics from a business perspective. In this capacity, the unit is the business owner of the newly established Value Stream Data, closely working with the Product Teams co-staffed from business and tech, whenever the production or consumption of data for analytical purposes is concerned.
The searched role “Product Owner - Corporate Data Model (m/f/d)” will be accountable for creating a comprehensive and unique representation of the organization's analytical data together with the product teams owning the data sources.
