Group Details

The Data Governance Specialist role within the Data Management & Governance team at Tradeweb is crucial for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial data assets. Reporting directly to the Data Governance Lead, this position focuses on implementing and optimizing Collibra’s data governance and data quality functionalities for financial and regulatory data management. This is a technical role where the Data Governance Specialist will work extensively on data analysis, cataloging, and creating data quality rules within Collibra, ensuring comprehensive documentation and accessibility of financial data assets. Additionally, the specialist will contribute to various data governance initiatives and work with multiple tools and platforms beyond Collibra to enhance the organization’s data governance framework.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Data Governance lead to implement and optimize the usage of Collibra and enforce data governance policies, roles, and approval workflows within the tool.
  • Configure Collibra data quality jobs and help define DQ rules, ensuring accurate data profiling, anomaly detection, and automated quality monitoring.
  • Develop and enforce data quality standards, validation frameworks, and compliance controls aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and optimize Collibra Data Catalog, ensuring proper metadata management and governance for financial and regulatory datasets.
  • Develop and manage data lineage workflows, ensuring complete traceability and transparency of financial data movement across systems.
  • Engage with data stewards, compliance teams, and business users to monitor data governance KPIs, resolve data quality issues, and enhance governance maturity.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes relevant to financial and regulatory data governance, incorporating best practices and emerging standards into the organization's data governance strategy and roadmap.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in data management or financial compliance are preferred.
  • 3-4 years of experience in data governance, data management, or data architecture, with exposure to Data Quality and Catalog or similar data governance platforms.
  • Must have advanced SQL experience for creating complex data quality rules and querying across large datasets.
  • Proficiency in using Collibra or similar data governance tools and platforms, with a strong understanding of financial data concepts such as asset classes, financial instruments, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Investigate, document, and resolve data inconsistencies, missing values, and data integrity issues, leveraging SQL queries and Collibra workflows
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams within a financial context.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency in financial data governance processes and controls.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Collibra Ranger Certification or relevant Collibra platform experience.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data integration tools.
  • Understanding of machine learning-driven data quality improvements.
