As a Senior Manager, Data Management, you will be a senior member of a business-focused data management team, providing technical leadership in the design and implementation of key data quality and governance measures and controls. You will work closely with business and technology partners across Global Wealth Management on new data and reporting initiatives, delivery of data quality enhancements and lead other members of the Data Management team. This will involve oversight of Data Management Analysts, creating working relationships with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand data requirements, analyze data, and implement solutions.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex data quality controls and monitoring solutions for data sets within Global Wealth Management, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Provide expert-level support and guidance for relevant data projects and data enquiries, ensuring support requests are managed effectively and accurately and lead the problem-solving efforts related to data-related issues and communicate to stakeholders
- Work with architecture and development teams from Global Wealth Management Operations transformation initiatives to resolve complex production and data issues, overseeing the escalation and prioritization of issues
- Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other team members to understand data requirements and implement data solutions
- Participate in cross-functional projects as a data expert and provide training and support to business users on data access, reporting, and data quality tools
- Develop and maintain comprehensive data quality metrics, providing insights into data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Profile data, perform data quality checks, and identify data integrity issues
- Develop and implement data quality rules and monitoring processes maintaining comprehensive documentation of data sources, data flows, data definitions, and data quality rules
- Lead the development and maintenance of scheduled reports for Operations teams, ensuring timely and accurate delivery and use data visualization tools to present findings effectively
- Work with Data Governance partners and business data owners to define and draft sophisticated business rules and data quality controls, aligning with best practice standards and driving data governance initiatives
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Finance, or Economics, or equivalent with a focus in Data Analytics and AI
- CFA enrollment is an asset
- 5+ years of Investment Management Operations, Asset Management or Wealth Management industry experience, preferably in a leadership role
- 5+ years of experience with data management tools and various query and processing languages (SQL, Python, ETL)
- 2+ years of experience with data analytics and visualization tools (Power BI, Looker)
- 2+ years of experience with public cloud environments and developing data quality programs within their applications (GCP, Databricks, Azure, etc.)
- 2+ years of experience with implementing a data catalog, quality, and profiling tool (Collibra, SAS Viya, etc.)
- Other certifications in programming languages such as Python, SQL or other equivalent
