 This position reports to the Finance Solutions and Innovation (FSI) team. The FSI team leads the development, support, and enablement of key business intelligence capabilities for Finance and the Enterprise, leveraging industry-leading BI tools and technologies. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will play a critical role in collecting and documenting functional business requirements, designing wireframes, and developing BI solutions. As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, you will work directly with business partners to automate reporting and business processes utilizing the Microsoft Power Platform components.

Responsibilities:

  • Collecting and documenting functional business requirements, including designing wireframes and user interfaces. This involves identifying opportunities for improvement by evaluating customer processes and ensuring that the solutions align with business needs and objectives.

  • Deploying and supporting BI solutions in production environments, including managing workspaces, dataflows, and deployment pipelines to ensure seamless integration and efficient operation.

  • Automating business processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Extracting, curating, and managing large datasets.

  • Developing tabular models and creating DAX measures for data analysis.

  • Designing user experiences (UX) for BI solutions.

  • Developing Power Apps to collect and update data, ensuring seamless integration with other BI tools.

Required Qualifications

  • EST time zone working hours. (Availability 8am EST - 5pm EST).

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years of data analysis experience OR Master’s degree and 3 or more years of data analysis experience.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Power Platform, specifically Power BI (Service and Desktop), Dataflows, Deployment Pipelines, Power Apps.

  • Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations.

  • Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction.

  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership.

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data.

  • Experience in Finance or financial reporting.

  • PL-300 "Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst" certification.

  • Advanced skills in SQL, SAS, and other data systems.

  • Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling.

  • Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with remote work options.

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.

  • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$89,000 - $121,400 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
