Job Description
Information about the Role, Line of Business and Team:
The Actuarial department of the Crum & Forster Accident & Health division has a unique opportunity to bring on a multi-talented individual to join this fast pace, dynamic team. This person will be responsible for working on a broad range of analytics projects to support and further evolve our existing analytics initiatives to deliver key information in real time. This role will also be responsible for building out reporting and management dashboards, creation of KPIs and KRIs, and other reports as necessary. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial environment but with the benefits of a smaller organization and the security, stability, and opportunity of a large conglomerate. You will interact directly with all points from senior executives to customers, with visibility throughout the organization and a direct impact on the bottom line.
What you will do:
- Work closely with actuarial team and other stakeholders
- Support in processing, cleansing, and verifying integrity of data used for analysis
- Compile ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear manner
- Help develop and maintain web-based dashboards for real-time reporting of key performance indicators across all departments.
- Assist in improving data process and workflows, tools, and models as appropriate
- Participate in data engineering and database management tasks
- Collaborate with team member for various data projects

Requirements:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science/Analytics, Information Technology or Computer Science from an accredited College/University
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, etc.) with a solid grasp of Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity or interest in learning SQL(DDL, DML)
- Familiarity or interest in learning common data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Familiarity or interest in learning programming language (Python, R, etc.)

Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area ranges from a minimum of $15/hr. to a maximum of $25/hr. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
