Industry Data Analyst Jr.

The industry data analyst will support professional market customers (legal, tax, corporates, and government) by analyzing, preparing and disseminating data through unique and thought-provoking insights and ensuring customers are receiving the highest possible value from their interactions with Thomson Reuters Institutes’ Thought Leadership.

About the Role

In this opportunity as Industry Data Analyst Jr, you will:

  • Design and deliver in-depth financial benchmarking analyses for Strategic Insights customers, as well as the broader professional markets the company serves.
  • Conduct data and industry presentations for managing partners, C-level executives, and firm leaders at client firms, as well as the broader professional markets and internal groups.
  • Identify business development opportunities through high-level interactions with the marketplace, referrals, and relationship building strategies.
  • Collaborate with sales and implementation teams to ensure the timely and professional delivery of services to manage and exceed client expectations.  
  • Validate data to ensure consistent reporting of defined business metrics.
  • Develop content driven by insights derived from data analysis, extensive research, and thorough industry knowledge across legal, tax, corporate and government spaces.
  • Project manage the final production of content with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish yourself as a subject matter expert by articulating industry data analysis & insights through multiple mediums including client facing content, webinars, speaking engagements, and written blog posts and whitepaper reports.

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Data analyst Jr. if your background includes

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, statistics, data science/engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, business analytics or related field preferred
  • 1- 2 Years of experience
  • Familiarity with any professional service industry knowledge preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to organize data and communicate results effectively both orally and in writing
  • Financial acumen and interpersonal skills to connect with management and associated business issues
  • Personable, polished presence and professional image
  • Ability to produce work of the highest quality under tight deadlines 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office in particular Excel and Power Point skills
  • Experience needed in SQL and Python
  • Experience preferred in Alteryx, and Predictive Modeling software, like R. Requirement would be to speak English and Spanish
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, and fluency in speaking, spelling, grammar, and punctuation in both languages. Familiarity with Portuguese would be a bonus.
