About the role

This role is part of the European Spirits Category Planning Team and is expected to drive master data governance, influence and action across planning teams to ensure master data accuracy, completeness and compliance in the category. This role requires a thorough understanding of the operational impact and importance of master data to ensure optimal end-to-end planning.

The Master Data Lead is responsible for delivering complete and accurate master data across the European Spirits portfolio. In this role you will work with the planning teams to ensure master data across the category is healthy. You will drive master data governance, ensuring there is a process to review all elements needed for SKUs with the relevant teams. Together with the ERP team, the master data lead will work to understand how our systems communicate to ensure master data is reflected accurately across the multiple systems. You will work with a range of stakeholders whilst being responsive and flexible in your approach.  

Role Responsibilities-

  • Data Governance Framework: Adhere to data governance framework, including data standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Data Quality: Define and enforce data quality standards, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.

  • Data Management and Maintenance: Support in creation, maintenance, and validation of planning-related master data, such as material master, routings, supplier data, and MRP parameters ensuring accuracy of master data to avoid supply chain disruptions.

  • Data Ownership: Identify and resolve data discrepancies by collaborating with key stakeholders.

  • Data Reporting: Monitor data quality KPIs and track performance through different reports available in the business. Make sure reports developed are providing relevant insights.

  • Stakeholder Management: Work closely with planning teams to ensure master data supports business operations. Act as the key contact for master data-related queries and issue resolution.

Experience, skills & capabilities required

  • You are an experienced user of an ERP and/or planning system (SAP ECC6 and/or APO/OMP preferred).

  • You have strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • You have a good understanding of master data principles in planning.

  • You remain positive in ambiguous environments and challenging situations.

  • You are proactive, resilient and flexible

  • You will have great interpersonal skills with comfort in networking and influencing others with different cultures and across all levels of the organisation.

  • You hold self and others to account regarding clarity in roles and responsibilities 

  • Great teammate - Ability to coach and train peers
