NIBC Bank is looking for a Credit Risk Data Analyst for our Modelling & Data Analytics team!

 

Job Description:

 

What will you do?

Co-lead the further development of the Risk Data Domain and related business processes

  • Continuously improve data management processes, tools, and solutions

  • Design, develop, and automate data processes to ingest new internal and external data sources

  • Translate requests from the modelling team to functional and data requirements

  • Help to strategize, plan and execute in collaboration with Data & Analytics department

Become a subject matter expert for all credit risk data related questions within MDA

  • Become an expert on credit risk data incl. Definition of Default

  • Identify information needs and data requirements within MDA

  • Define and maintain data quality requirements and business rules

  • Assist in data quality analysis and testing

  • Identify and help resolve data issues

Boundary spanning

  • Bridge core risk functions with IT, Data Management, Business and Finance

  • Take part in bank-wide projects that span over several knowledge domains and require effective communication with multiple stakeholders

Your team

Our team is responsible for IRB and IFRS9 credit risk models, bank-wide stress testing as well as ESG hedge accounting and counterparty credit risk modeling. The team also plays a leading role in the ongoing bank-wide transformational change programs.

As part of our small team, you will assume substantial responsibilities and gain extensive exposure to credit risk data and models. You will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact by taking our risk data management to the next level. In your role you will bridge between core risk functions, data management and IT.

What do you bring?

  • A positive ‘can do’ mentality;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills (English);
  • Proven advanced SQL programming skills;
  • Hands-on experience with data intensive solutions and processes within banking (Risk and/or Finance domain);
  • Hands-on experience with risk modeling and/or risk reporting in at least a supporting role is preferred;
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks is strongly preferred;
  • Hands-on ETL/ELT tooling experience is preferred but not required;
  • Python programming skills are preferred but not required.
