ROLE SUMMARY

Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with 8 to 10 years of expertise in business intelligence, data analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Power BI, data visualization, and analytics, with a proven ability to transform complex datasets into actionable insights. This role requires in-depth knowledge of data modeling, querying, and dashboard creation, as well as a sound understanding of business processes and KPIs. The candidate should also be proficient in working with stakeholders to gather requirements, build reports, and support data-driven decision-making.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions, including interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft Sharepoint, etc.
• Gather, understand, and translate business requirements into data models and reporting solutions.
• Perform data analysis and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Connect Power BI to various data sources (databases, APIs, spreadsheets) and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Optimize Power BI reports for performance, usability, and scalability.
• Create and maintain complex DAX calculations, measures, and data visualizations to enhance report functionality.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to define KPIs, design data-driven solutions, and support reporting needs.
• Ensure adherence to data governance standards and maintain documentation of reporting processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Finance, and Operations, to ensure data consistency across the organization.
• Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Desired Use of AI for AI-enhanced data visualization
• Defining / Identifying KPIs through AI suggestions.
• Desired Automated insights generation using AI.
• Desired Use of Natural language querying and reporting.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

Work Experience

• 8 to 10 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and reporting roles.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and Power Query.
• Hands-on experience with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Experience in working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and data warehouses.
• Solid understanding of data visualization best practices and techniques.
• Proven ability to gather and translate business requirements into effective data solutions.
• Experience in handling large datasets and ensuring data quality and accuracy.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present clear insights.
• Familiarity with data governance, data security, and compliance standards.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies is a plus

Nice to Have:

• Experience with other BI tools (Tableau, QlikView, or Looker).
• Exposure to Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, or Azure SQL).
• Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and scripting.
• Experience in working with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data integration tools.
• Certifications in Microsoft Power BI or related technologies.
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
