Starting Salary depending on experience:With bachelor's degree $80,000-$102,000
With master's degree $83,000-$105,000
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the design, developing, testing, and optimization of machine learning and other artificial intelligence (AI) models and algorithms tailored to meet auditing needs.
- Performing Exploratory Data Analysis to identify valuable insights and patterns to give project direction, and utilizing data preprocessing techniques such as data cleaning, transformation, and feature engineering.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to develop team members. Collaborate with cross-functional technology teams and end users to design, develop, and optimize solutions, including pipelines, models, and other projects.
- Development and review code primarily using cloud-based Microsoft Azure infrastructure and Visual Studio Code.
- Develop advanced functionalities using Python, leveraging EDA and ML libraries.
- Use Microsoft Visual Studio Code and GitHub for source code development, version control, and collaboration.
- Apply MLOps best practices throughout the experimental and production phases of AI/ML model development.
- Document processes, steps, and outcomes throughout projects, create clear and concise data visualizations that enhance analysis and assisting team members.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in AI technologies and methodologies.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for team members and end-users.

- Bachelor's or master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, or another similar IT-related field.
- At least 2 years’ proven experience in working with, developing, or implementing artificial intelligence systems, with focus on machine learning and neural networks.
- Experience in supervising staff and coordinating cross-functional projects is preferred.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, particularly Azure OpenAI/ML Studio, is preferred.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, and other scripting languages. Familiarity with productivity tools such as PowerShell is a plus.
- Experience writing/optimizing SQL queries and working with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server).
- Experience with AI frameworks and ML development tools such as sci-kit learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and others.
- Familiarity with statistics and data science concepts including EDA, ETL/data pipelines, statistical testing, and Machine Learning modeling.
- Deep understanding of Language Models and how to apply to particular use cases.
- Strong interest in public service and improving State government.
- Strong analytical, research, critical thinking, time management, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Experience mentoring others in technical matters.
- Must have valid Arizona driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be a United States citizen or have proper work authorization.
