Key Responsibilities:
- Data Maintenance: Assist in maintaining data integrity across various corporate master and transactional data sets.- Data Profiling: Conduct data quality assessments and cleansing to ensure that data meets business needs and adheres to established standards.- Process Documentation: Document processes, issues, and resolutions to improve data management practices and ensure knowledge transfer.- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with teams across different hubs to align master data practices and engage with internal stakeholders globally.- Data Governance: Support the development and implementation of data governance and management practices across the organization.- Analytics Support: Assist in data analysis projects, providing insights to support business decisions.
Requirements:- Currently a rising Junior/Senior enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university.- Ability to commit to up to 40 hours per week from early June to late August.- Ability to commute to the Oakland office in a hybrid modality for the duration of the internship.- Ability and willingness to work with teams in multiple time zones, including connections with the New York office and the Shanghai team.
Skills & Qualifications:- Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, functions, visualization, macros) and other data manipulation tools (SQL and Python).- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey ideas clearly and build relationships with partners.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.- Knowledge of data science, machine learning, or data mining is a plus.- Statistical knowledge and the ability to apply it to real-world problems.- Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
