Position Summary
The AI/ML Software Engineer will develop, test, and debug applications using Jakarta EE, JSF, PrimeFaces, and Oracle PL/SQL while performing data analytics with SQL, NoSQL, and AI-based technologies. This role requires working on multiple projects independently and collaboratively, mentoring junior and experienced staff, supporting business development efforts, and contributing to process improvements and technology advancements. Provide expertise and direction in the development and/or modification of computer-based scientific, technical, and business software systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Program, test and debug software developed with Jakarta EE, JSF, PrimeFaces and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Perform data analytics using SQL, NOSQL, and AI based analytics technologies.
• Familiarity with development tools including NetBeans, PL/SQL Developer, JIRA, SVN, and AI programming tools.
• Design, develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms.
• Collaborate with team to gather and preprocess date
• Comfortable working in both Windows and Linux environments.
• Work on multiple projects, independently and with the team, taking responsibility for understanding requirements, meeting schedules, and seeking guidance when necessary.
• Guide and/or mentor staff in completing tasks and learning new skills.
• Support business development by attending meetings, contributing to proposals or leading demonstrations.
• Keep abreast of new products and technologies applicable to Dynaxys business needs.
• Offer process improvement suggestions and assist with designing and implementing solutions as needed.
• Communicate effectively with other staff to improve processes, solve problems and resolve conflicts.

Qualifications

Required:
• U.S. Citizenship required (Must pass Tier 1 background investigation for Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card eligibility).
• 5+ years of experience leading development teams in modernizing legacy software and integrating AI-driven solutions.
• Experience with Jakarta EE, JSF, PrimeFaces, and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Familiarity with AI-based analytics, SQL, NoSQL, and AI programming tools.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based infrastructures, DevOps, and scalable architectures.
• Occasional ability to work at the client’s DC facility with additional in-person meetings as needed.

Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Local to District of Columbia, Maryland, & Virginia.
• Growth oriented, hands-on, sleeves up leader with long term vision.
