Emergent Software develops custom software, builds websites, and manages SQL Server databases for clients in the Twin Cities and the greater USThis is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in the office (Minneapolis MN, Tampa FL, or Plano TX). Candidates must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.
We are seeking a Master Data Management Specialist to join our client’s team. We are seeking an experienced MDM Specialist to collaborate closely with data stewards and business stakeholders, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with organizational goals. This role is key in refining our MDM platform, which has been evolving over the past three years, to enhance data quality and governance.
Responsibilities
Lead MDM requirement analysis sessions with business users
Manage and enhance the customer and organization data domains
Conduct source system analysis, data profiling, and lifecycle management
Define key data metrics to ensure a robust MDM platform
Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide recommendations for resolution
Analyze legacy data and ensure it aligns with the desired state, identifying and addressing data quality issues
Develop and execute plans for migrating data from legacy systems to Dynamics CE or other platforms
Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to ensure alignment on data initiatives
Required Skills
Solid experience in MDM development, support, and operations at a midlevel capacity.
Proficiency in the Informatica MDM tool suite and data integration technologies (experience with similar MDM tools will also be considered).
Strong knowledge of SQL, with familiarity in Python as a plus
7–10 years of experience in data migration and data modeling, including working with legacy systems
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess business requirements and translate them into actionable data migration steps
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and lead by example
Ability to work U.S. business hours (ideally CST or EST)
A passion for data quality, governance, and continuous improvement
