What You’ll Be Doing
Cadmus’ Technology Solutions Division is seeking an extraordinary technologist to be our Data & Analytics Center of Excellence Lead with a storied history in the tech industry. As the Data & Analytics CoE Lead, you will define and execute the technical vision for TSD’s data management, engineering, and visualization services. This high-impact leadership role combines thought leadership, technical expertise, and business development. You will lead a growing practice, provide technical oversight, craft cutting-edge solutions, and build partnerships while ensuring delivery excellence across engagements.

Responsibilities
Thought Leadership
- Shape the vision and strategy for next-generation data management, engineering, and visualization solutions, incorporating modern patterns such as Data Mesh and Medallion Architecture to drive scalability and agility.
- Be a recognized thought leader in the data and analytics community by publishing content, speaking at conferences, and representing TSD externally.
Technical Expertise
- Architect and code solutions as a hands-on expert in at least two of the following domains: data management, data engineering, or data visualization.
- Build performant, secure, and scalable data solutions leveraging modern cloud platforms and analytics tools, while adopting advanced data design paradigms like Data Mesh and Medallion Architecture for distributed and layered data systems.
- Drive innovation by implementing competitive and cutting-edge technologies and communicating their value to internal and external stakeholders.
Business Development
- Provide thought leadership during pre-sales activities, including designing technical solutions and responding to RFIs and RFPs.
- Lead technical discussions during capture and proposal processes, developing award-winning solutions to complex problems.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to articulate TSD’s unique value propositions.
Delivery Excellence
- Ensure delivery teams operate with customer-centric and quality-driven best practices.
- Provide technical oversight to major programs, fostering continuous improvement and horizontal integration of solutions.
Practice Building
- Build and mentor a community of data architects and engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
- Support recruitment, professional development, and knowledge-sharing activities.
Partnership Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with technology partners, including AWS, Microsoft, Databricks, and Snowflake.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 15+ years in data & analytics consulting or equivalent industry experience.
- 10+ years designing large-scale data solutions.
- 5+ years leading teams of 5-10+ professionals.
- Demonstrated experience in architecting and delivering at least three cloud-based data analytics solutions.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in:
- Data warehousing, cloud data platforms, and data visualization tools.
- Development using tools such as Kafka, NiFi, Pentaho, Airflow, Databricks, Superset, and modern workflow orchestration platforms like Apache Airflow or Prefect.
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and tools like Glue, S3, RDS, Athena, Kinesis, Data Lake, Data Factory, and BigQuery.
- Spark, Hadoop Ecosystem, Python, and modern ETL tools such as NiFi, Pentaho, or dbt (data build tool).
- DevSecOps and DataOps practices, including containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Version control tools like Git/GitHub.
Soft Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present effectively in professional settings.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative leader who can inspire and mentor teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with analytical modeling, machine learning, and A/B testing.
- Previous leadership experience in a data-focused Practice or Center of Excellence.
- An advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (statistics, data science, mathematics) is preferred but not required; equivalent experience will also be considered.
Additional Information:
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.
Based on eligibility and job status, Cadmus offers an excellent benefits package to include: medical, dental, vision, company paid disability and life insurance, 401(k) program, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, voluntary time off (VTO), tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance program, other optional benefits and various bonus programs.
The minimum starting salary for this position is $185,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
