Job Description:
A Pitney Bowes Internship prepares students for the rigors of the working world while providing a professional and engaging learning experience. Our internships offer meaningful work with the potential to directly impact our business (learn while doing). In addition to challenging work, interns grow their professional networks. From Day 1, they have the opportunity to network with fellow interns from schools across the country as well as PB employees at all levels of the organization.
Our vision is to offer undergraduate and masters students an engaging and thought-provoking learning experience while impacting our business in a meaningful way by:
- PROJECTS: Interns are spread throughout our businesses. Each intern manager will provide intentional learning objective goals and assign real-life projects to own and drive during the summer
- SUPPORT: Each intern will be paired up with a mentor who will provide guidance, support, and insight into The PB Way!
- PAY: The wage range for this position is $18- $30 per hour, with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements.
- JOB OFFERS: The intern program may only last 10-weeks, June 9th - August 18th, but we don’t want the experience to end there. Our top interns are often offered extended internships or future job opportunities at Pitney Bowes
About the Opportunity:
The Pitney Bowes Presort Business Analytics team has a continued focus on helping to improve operational performance by using data to tell stories for the business that can have immediate impact. We are seeking interns to assist with these efforts to continually improve the impact our dashboards and reporting, bringing new ideas to our data and working to bring new insights forward for the business with new ways of thinking. This intern will have the opportunity to work with raw data and different technologies, partnering with multiple teams within the business to help create change. We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking individual to challenge present day and get us into the future with new ideas!
- Create data visualizations to develop stories and insights for business users
- Using python development to create visuals to project onto our large tv monitors through digital signage software
- Assist projects where you will help to analyze data to help drive change
- Partner with team to think beyond current technology and processes and bring new exciting opportunities

Pitney Bowes Presort Services performs mail sorting; performing some of the work that would typically be performed by the USPS®. For completing this work, Presort Services receives discounted postage rates. By performing this sorting work on behalf of our clients, we are able to share a portion of that discount with them. Our national network of operating centers processes over 17 billion pieces of mail annually. We provide mailers with end-to-end solutions from pick-up at their location into delivery into the postal system network, providing optimal postage savings.
About You

Our selection process is therefore focused on the highest quality candidates that demonstrate a rigorous academic curriculum as well as having established themselves with authentic projects pursued in and outside the classroom. As a Business Analytics intern, you have the following skills:
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of business intelligence/analytics and visualization software (Power BI & Streamlit)
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of programming/scripting – SQL, Python, Streamlit
- Basic knowledge of IoT data & working with large datasets
- Be a self-starter and independent learner
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to work with business stakeholders
- You are committed to excellence in your work and maintain high professional and ethical standards to: “Do the Right Thing, The Right Way.”
Educational Background
- Students seeking Junior or Senior year of undergraduate or graduate student seeking Business Analytics, Data Science, Business Administration, Economics or Computer Science with specialization in analytics
Location:
This is anticipated to be a remote opportunity, although some on-site work is possible if a candidate is in proximity to one of our 30+ Operating Centers.
