What You'll Be Doing
We are looking for an Associate - Data Products to join our data team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the operational datasets, ensuring data quality, maintaining dashboards, and driving adoption of data products within the organization.
You will work closely with stakeholders across engineering, analytics, and business teams to optimize data pipelines, improve performance monitoring, and enhance governance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Performance Monitoring: Assess and enhance pipeline and dashboard performance, decommission unused content, and guide users toward sponsor-owned content.
• Data Quality & Governance: Ensure pipelines and outputs meet data quality standards and governance policies.
• Knowledge & Documentation: Develop expertise in operational datasets, maintain updated documentation on pipelines, logic, dictionaries, and definitions.
• Usage & Access Management: Monitor usage patterns and drive high user engagement.
• Explore Management: Maintain, harmonize, and decommission unnecessary explores while ensuring accountability.
• Roadmaps & Communication: Update, review, and communicate delivery progress clearly to stakeholders.
• Ad-hoc, Features & Project Delivery: Manage demand, challenge requirements, ensure timely responses, and commit to ETAs for effective delivery.
• Bug & Ticket Management: Ensure timely issue resolution and maintain quality and completeness of logged tickets.
• Standup & PI Planning: Facilitate standups and program increment (PI) planning, ensuring clear objectives and tasks.
• Stakeholder Management: Align with stakeholders’ roadmaps and strategic priorities.
• Training & Enablement: Provide training and resources to empower end-users and stakeholders in using dashboards and explores effectively.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, analytics, and business teams to align on priorities and share insights.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Basic SQL and Basic LookML.
• Familiarity with Looker, including the ability to build or review dashboards.
• Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex pipeline or dashboard issues.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum practices for effective team and task management.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience in data product management, data operations, or analytics.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards.
