Data Analyst - Search Quality (Recall Team)

Our team focuses on improving the search system’s quality by increasing the recall and relevancy of the retrieved results. We consistently deliver measurable KPI improvements, resulting in better search experiences and greater transparency in our algorithms for customers.

We are looking for a Data Analyst to help us optimize our product discovery platform and deliver a measurable impact on search performance and business metrics.

In this role, you’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify areas for improvement, validate current initiatives, and propose actionable ideas to enhance search quality. Your insights and recommendations will play a key role in aligning search results with user intent, improving search relevance, and driving better business outcomes.

Challenges you will tackle

• Design metrics to evaluate the relevance and performance of search results, ensuring they align with business goals and user expectations.
• Dive into data exploration to uncover growth opportunities in the current search solution, estimate their potential impact, and prioritize them effectively.
• Track ML models performance and show their contribution to final results and business metrics.
• Improve our explanation workflows to ensure that our search algorithms are clear and transparent for all stakeholders.

Requirements

• You have a diversified experience in data/product analytics, including A/B experiments and other approaches to data-driven decision-making.
• You are proficient in SQL and Python for data analysis/data processing.
• You're familiar with math statistics (A/B-tests).
• You will be a great match if you have experience with PySpark or ETL pipelines.
• You are excited to leverage massive amounts of data to drive product innovation & deliver business value.
• You are an excellent communicator with the ability to translate business needs into a technical language and vice versa.
• You have strong strategic planning and prioritization skills.
