Meta Reality Labs is seeking for an experienced and highly skilled Image Quality/Camera Perception Engineer to join our team. - Develop and implement 3A (auto-exposure, auto-white balance, auto-focus) and ISP tuning strategies to optimize image quality and camera performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers, to ensure seamless integration of image of quality and camera features into our product
- Design and execute test procedures to validate image quality and camera performance, based on specific tuning parameters
- Analyze and interpret data from various sources, including sensor data, image data, and user feedback, to inform design decisions and optimize system performance
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, test plans, and user manuals
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in computer vision, image processing, and machine learning to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for software development
- Work closely with QA and Test teams to identify and resolve image quality and camera issues
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in image quality and camera engineering, computer vision, or a related field
- Experience in programming languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB
- Knowledge of computer vision libraries and frameworks, such as OpenCV or TensorFlow
- Knowledge of image processing and machine learning techniques, including object detection, tracking, and recognition
- Experience with camera systems, including lens design, sensor selection, and image signal processing
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with deep learning frameworks, such as PyTorch or Keras
- Knowledge of camera calibration and synchronization techniques
- Experience with embedded systems and real-time operating systems
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git
