About the Role
As our Director of AI Productivity, you’ll build and lead Oura’s AI Productivity team, bringing cutting-edge AI solutions to internal teams. You’ll drive AI adoption, create high-impact automations, and shape Oura’s internal AI strategy to help teams move faster, work smarter, and focus on what matters most.
This is a unique opportunity for a visionary AI leader to define, develop, and scale AI capabilities at Oura—transforming how we operate and setting the foundation for the future of AI-driven work.
What You Will Do
- Lead & Build – Hire and develop a team of AI experts, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- AI Strategy & Roadmap – Define and execute Oura’s internal AI strategy, identifying high-impact AI opportunities across business functions.
- Develop & Deploy – Implement AI-powered automation, generative AI solutions, and ML models to improve workflows, decision-making, and efficiency.
- AI Adoption & Enablement – Educate teams on AI tools and best practices, driving adoption and ensuring ethical and effective AI usage.
- Strategic AI Programs – Lead company-wide AI initiatives to reimagine organizational practices, drive cross-functional efforts, and ensure alignment with Oura’s mission and values.
- AI Productivity Tech Stack – Define and build Oura’s internal AI tech stack, integrating best-in-class AI vendor applications, foundational AI frameworks, and AI operations (AIOps) capabilities.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve – Monitor AI trends and emerging technologies to keep Oura at the forefront of AI-driven business transformation.
This is a remote US role with a slight preference for candidates based in San Francisco.
Requirements
- AI & Automation Leader – 10+ years in AI, automation, or ML-driven transformation, with experience leading AI initiatives at scale.
- Business Transformation Experience – Demonstrated experience applying AI and automation to internal business functions, optimizing processes, and driving measurable productivity improvements.
- Technical Expertise – Deep knowledge of AI/ML, generative AI (GPT, LLMs), automation tools, and AI-driven business process optimization.
- Strategic Thinker – Ability to identify high-value AI opportunities, drive alignment, and execute AI initiatives with measurable impact.
- Strong Communicator & Influencer – Proven ability to partner with business leaders, IT, and executive teams to drive AI adoption.
- Hands-on & Agile – Comfortable rolling up your sleeves to prototype AI solutions, experiment, and iterate quickly.

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
- Region 1: $165,000 - 206,000
- Region 2: $156,000 - $195,000
- Region 3: $143,000 - $179,000
