About the Opportunity

The Data Visualization intern will work with the Supply Chain Data Analytics team to create reports that highlight key business insights. This opportunity will provide exposure to various steps of Driscoll’s supply chain, ranging from forecasting, transportation, sales, quality, to the distribution of berries to customers, as well as post-harvest. We are looking for someone who is excited to work with real world data while showcasing their creativity to create impactful visualizations. This on-site internship in Watsonville, CA, runs from May/June to August/September, with some flexibility in timing. A housing stipend is not available for this role.

 Responsibilities
  • •    Support the creation and issuance of Supply Chain Dashboards with focus around Transportation, Distribution, Post Harvest, Geospatial, Quality, and Forecasting
  • •    Support the Supply Chain teams with report issuance and maintenance
  • •    Support the Supply Chain Analytics Manager with data validation, review, and testing
  • •    Conduct ad-hoc analysis under the direction of the Supply Chain Analytics Manager
  • •    Support the refinement of data collection and management
  • •    Other duties and requests as assigned by the Supply Chain Analytics Manager
  • •    Identify a project/build that will be completed during the internship which aligns with Supply Chain goals and initiatives
  • •    Represents Driscoll’s in an ethical and business-like professional manner in all interactions with growers, co-workers, suppliers, customers and the business community at large
    Candidate Profile
  • •    Currently pursuing or completed a professional degree with preferred emphasis on data analytics, statistics, visualization, or agribusiness
  • •    Elevated Tableau acumen: Microsoft office suite, and data analytics capabilities required.
  • •    SQL, Python, and other coding language a plus
  • •    Ability to balance multiple work assignments, projects and daily operational activities is required
  • •    Ability to work across departments, and independently
  • •    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • •    Spanish verbal and written capability a plus
  • •    Works well in fast-paced, dynamic environment

Compensation
The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the salary range and benefits for the position posted.  The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors. 
 
The hourly range estimated for this internship is: Freshman Junior to recent grad (Bachelor's level within 6 months of graduation): $18-$22
