Senior Strategy Technical Analyst

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Sales Initiatives & Analytics team is looking for a Senior Strategy Technical Analyst (Level 4) to join our Sales Analytics sub-team in Renton, Washington.

We are seeking a full-stack software developer to work on applications that will support go-to-market plans and transform business processes critical to BCA Sales and Marketing.  Our team creates and supports applications that make use of machine learning to provide new insights that help to better understand, forecast and capture airplane demand. 

The ideal candidate is proficient in programming/code development, self-motivated and interested in learning about the airplane sales and marketing process. We are seeking a candidate with analytical, research and coding skills and experience.

Position Responsibilities:   

  • Lead/participate in rapid development of prototypes of Sales Analytics applications and transition prototypes toward maturity.

  • Partner with IT, Sales Initiatives Analysts, Skyline Directors and Math Optimization Focal to prototype tools, stand up models and enhance user interface development.

  • Architect, design, develop, and test software. Create services that address critical business needs. Guide the implementation of new services from initial idea to production.

  • Manage the software infrastructure. Monitor software performance and scale as needed to meet user requirements.

  • Own software development processes and infrastructure components.

  • Perform thorough testing of all software, including unit and integration tests.

  • Actively participate in code reviews.

  • Take initiative to continually improve upon products and processes, integrating new software or systems as required. Perform trade studies as necessary.

  • Support data science machine learning models ensuring production standards are met.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and/or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing software using Python, C/C++, C# and/or Java

  • 1+ years of experience automating software builds, unit tests, integration tests, deployment, and installations using a DevOps tool chain using Artifactory and/or Gitlab

  • 1+ years of experience with agile software development processes

  • 1+ years of experience working with development, deployment and version control tools (e.g., Eclipse, Git, Jira, VersionOne)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with database design and development using SQL or MS SQL

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

  • Experience with API development, using JSON to pass data

  • Experience with front-end software development in JavaScript/TypeScript using modern frameworks such as Angular/React/Vue

  • Experience in software build-pipeline automation

  • Experience with Data caching, using tools such as Redis

  • Experience supporting production applications

  • Experience in machine learning, using tools such as Python scikit-learn

  • Experience with Cloud, such as RedHat OpenShift, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

  • Proficient in technical problem solving and debugging applications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Summary pay range: $118,150 - $159,850
