Our Impact

The portfolio performance analytics team is part of ICM Credit Risk Transfer (CRT) group.  We are mainly responsible for managing Risk Appetite for Single Family Portfolio Consumer Credit risk and CRT valuation model/framework.  Risk Appetite is designed to align with Freddie Mac’s mission and business objectives and has fundamental impact on business decisions.  We propose annual Limit Setting scenario and associated Risk Appetite Board Limit, forecast and manage portfolio Risk Appetite metrics supported by robust analytics, identify key risk factors and leading indicators for elevated risks, design and execute various scenario and sensitivity analysis.  

Your Impact

You will be involved in a wide range of activities related to portfolio analytics.

  • Support monthly Risk Appetite forecast and reporting and annual limit setting

  • Perform quantitative analytics to prepare and enhance monthly Risk Appetite analytics package

  • Research, design and execute sensitivity and scenario analysis

  • Develop, maintain and improve analytical toolkits (in SAS/Python)

  • Partner with model developers as significant model user of key corporate models to understand model changes and assess the model change impact to business use

  • Assist improvement to CRT valuation model and associated production implementation

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in quantitative finance, statistics or a related quantitative field.

  • Coursework or work experience applying predictive modeling techniques from finance, statistics, mathematics, data science, and computer programming to large data sets.  Qualifying coursework may include--but is not limited to—statistics, mathematical programming, optimization, machine learning, computational methods, design and analysis of algorithms, Bayesian methods, derivatives, and Monte Carlo methods/modeling.

  • Coursework or work experience writing statistical and/or optimization programs to develop models and algorithms. Programming languages may include--but are not limited to--Python, R, SQL, Java, SAS, and MATLAB.

  • Experience in mortgage industry a plus

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $101,000 - $151,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
