Senior Anaplan Data Modeler - solution architect Anaplan

As a Senior Anaplan Data Modeler – Solution Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of Anaplan models for Sales Compensation at HP Inc. You will be responsible for building a connected planning solution that integrates use cases provided by Sales Compensation Business Partners and supports the generation of Sales Letter contracts for 9,000 Sales Reps worldwide. This role requires expertise in Anaplan model building, solution architecture, and data management to ensure a seamless, scalable, and efficient planning ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document business requirements and translate them into detailed user stories.
• Collaborate with business owners to design Anaplan pages and models tailored to sales compensation processes.
• Create model schema diagrams to define the structure and relationships within Anaplan models.
• Lead a team in implementing efficient Anaplan models while following Planual guidelines.
• Demonstrate models and solutions to business users, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate system functionality and business requirements.
• Manage and deliver model updates to production as per the scheduled release cycle.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
• Total 15+ years of experience, including:
• At least 3 years in a Solution Architect role.
• At least 4 years of hands-on Anaplan model building experience.

Certifications:

• Certified Anaplan Level 3 Model Builder (mandatory).

Requirements

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in Anaplan model development, including schema design and connected planning solutions.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodology for iterative and collaborative development.
• Experience with Python for automation and integration purposes.
• Knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and querying.
• Understanding of scalability principles to ensure optimal model performance.
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices in model development and deployment.
