Overview

We are looking for an Analyst, Business Intelligence who will support our teams in making decisions by analyzing, transforming, and presenting data in ongoing and ad hoc reports.

Key Responsibilities

Produce accurate reports and complete analysis to support decision makers in improving financial results and business processes

• Provide expertise and practical assistance in the ad hoc investigation, evaluation, and interpretation of data, themes, and trends

• Integrate multiple sources of data and insight into a cohesive, consultative presentation to internal clients

• Help to develop insights – focus on intuitive measures of performance and providing the ‘so what’ to our internal clients

• Manage large analytical projects, and help develop new reports and views of data for business stakeholders

• Interact with different lines of business, and direct flow of requests to third party analytics vendors when required

• Develop relationships within the business clientele, and help to integrate analytical views into their decision-making processes

• Create new reports for merchandising teams to analyze their promotional effectiveness on an ongoing basis in appropriate tools

• Develop enhanced data processing for automation of reporting where appropriate

• Troubleshoot and improve existing reporting as required

• Present results to stakeholders in meetings

• Work with large data sets across multiple technology platforms

Skills and Experience Requirements

• 3-5 years relevant working experience

• A University Degree in a relevant field (Statistics, Business, etc.)

• Familiarity with various data analysis tools (such as Databricks/SQL/Power BI)

• Skill in data visualization and presentation (such as Tableau)

• Experience in successfully collaborating with internal partners

• Advanced ability to integrate multiple data sources

• Ability to lead the design of analytical investigations on large data sets

• Advanced communication and consulting capabilities

Additional traits that will help to set a candidate apart

• Applicant has direct experience in a role dedicated to the design and fulfilment of complex projects in either a data analysis or a data visualization platform

• Applicant has direct experience in a role dedicated to presenting business results and insights to higher-level stakeholders (Directors, VPs, higher)

• Applicant is a great communicator and storyteller. Able to simplify and convey complex ideas

• Applicant has demonstrated engagement and interest in data analysis
