About the Opportunity
The Data Engineer sits within Development & Analytics at ANSTO, which involves delivering application development & data analytics to diverse groups within ANSTO. As part of this supportive & collaborative team, the Data Engineer will perform data orchestration in ANSTO's Azure cloud systems and design innovative solutions to data problems. This position reports to the Analytics Team Leader and will be able to take part in providing data-oriented solutions for reporting and analysis needs across ANSTO. This opportunity will also involve root cause analysis of issues in data integration & storage, which will require an analytical mindset in solving these critical issues.

Your Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop new integrations from diverse systems to the ANSTO data platform.
- Design, build, and maintain pipelines, dataflows and ETL code.
- Undertake a range of activities in the development life cycle using a range of tools, techniques, and programming languages to ensure business requirements are met
- Monitor the performance and stability of pipelines and dataflows.
- Maintain awareness of industry best practice, new and emerging technologies, and platforms to enhance ANSTO’s standards, products, and accessibility.
