Our Training & Simulation Systems business has close to 40 years of experience in delivering innovative learning, training, and simulation solutions to customers in the defence, public safety and security, and enterprise domains. We envision to create a better future together through learning, training, and simulation.

ST Engineering applies AI technologies in our various applications, especially in simulator solutions and projects. AI can be used to augment training outcomes, maximise performance improvements and facilitate in various aspects of simulation training. We are looking for someone to join us as an AI Solutions Engineer, to co-build AI-enabled solutions together with our project team members, and to drive innovations in our AI initiatives. These solutions will contribute to our state-of-the-art Air Simulator project’s delivery to our end users.

Be Part of Our Success 

• Develop custom AI applications with high performance and low latency, using machine learning methods and/ or deep learning methods, to support a variety of use cases.
• Build Machine/ Deep learning pipelines from ideation to prototyping, development, testing and deployment:
  • Train, fine-tune, and customise object detection, segmentation, activity recognition, tracking, and other image manipulation or related tasks from video images.
  • Optimise deep neural networks and the associated pre/ post-processing in application for deployment.
  • Continuously improve inference latency, accuracy of the AI model
• Suggest and propose solutions from specific use cases, to contribute to projects and generating content for proposals and reports.
• Interact with customers, users, and domain experts to analyse and understand requirements, and to design and develop engineering solutions accordingly.
• Stay up to date with the latest research and innovations in deep learning, and to implement and experiment with new ideas to improve developed AI model.

Qualities We Value 

• This role is open to entry level, prior relevant experience is required for a Senior Software Engineer role.
• Possess fundamental AI learning methods and concepts (Machine/Deep Learning), with sound software engineering skills to deliver clean and well-tested code.
• Experience and able to design and train AI machine/deep learning models in Python or C++, and AI modelling frameworks. (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, etc.) will be a plus
• Ability to be a team player, and to work independently, defining goals, scope, and leading your own development effort.
• Ability to elicit needs and to break down these needs into specific use cases with the users through interviews and interactions.
• Ability to articulate the proposed design & solution in easily understandable way to users and customers.
