We are seeking a motivated and passionate AI Ethics Intern to join our diverse team. As an intern, you will contribute to cutting-edge projects aimed at addressing ethical challenges in AI. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in exploring ethical dimensions in AI research, offering a unique opportunity to work alongside researchers and engineers in a globally diverse team.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will depend on the project you are assigned to, and will include a combination of the following:
- Conduct fundamental and innovative research in AI ethics, including but not limited to data collection, AI evaluation and algorithmic bias mitigation.
- Be self-motivated and capable of proposing and implementing innovative ideas.
- Contribute to the development of tools and frameworks to assess and mitigate AI-related risks in computer vision, such as bias, fairness, and transparency.
- Set up technical experiments to conduct bias evaluations in computer vision, or conduct interviews on AI ethics-related topics
- Contribute to creating training materials, guidelines, and best practices for responsible AI.
- Publish influential research outcomes in top-tier conferences and journals.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Currently pursuing a degree (Masters or PhD) in Computer Science or socio-technical AI topics.
- Strong interest in AI ethics and responsible AI development.
- Familiarity with ethical principles and frameworks in AI, in particular algorithmic fairness, bias detection and mitigation
- Strong understanding of AI and machine learning techniques in computer vision
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience with programming languages, preferably Python.
- Preferred: Experience with research communities, including having published papers at conferences/journals
