Position Overview

The Audience Data Specialist is responsible for leveraging a Customer Relationship Management database (CRM) to segment and identify audiences for appeals supporting the Wexner Medical Center, James Cancer Hospital and Health Sciences Colleges that will assist in building a robust pipeline of donors. This position ensures that data requirements are documented in the appropriate tools, coordinates data requirements and data delivery schedules with the Business Intelligence and Data Science team and the project owner, will be responsible for proofing data for accuracy and campaign tracking methods. Works with Advancement Records to maintain data integrity within the donor database system.

This position will support a complex calendar of outreach using diverse data sets from enterprise systems and will be instrumental in providing accurate output, and ad hoc decision support to address strategies that increase the awareness, engagement and giving of our constituents in the annual giving levels.   

The Audience Data Specialist will need to operate with solid decision-making capabilities, judgment, consistency, and relationship building.  They must be able to handle and prioritize multiple projects at once, translate customer needs into output, and utilize MS Office while demonstrating excellent customer service and strong communication skills when working with end users.

Duties and Responsibilities

60%      

Assists with a variety of acquisition, annual giving, and grateful patient campaigns and tactics; Project manages initiatives to keep the team on track using tools such as Workfront and Teams to share information; Coordinates with a variety of teams and vendors to ensure project management is optimized; Using tools such as Tableau, produces reports on a regular basis to drive the growth of annual giving and grateful patient pipelines forward; Monitors and codes all requests for communication opt-outs; Maintains budget tracking and submission of requests into the workday system; Participates actively in culture of philanthropy initiatives, tracking and reporting for the efforts, utilize MS Office while demonstrating excellent customer service and strong communication skills when working with end users.

Maintains data records for the broader medical center advancement team; Maintains access and distribution lists for team memberships in outlook and Microsoft teams; Assists with gathering data for benchmarking surveys for the team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Experience in a customer service environment
  • Experience working on projects with multiple team members
  • Ability to operate with a high level of discretion in appropriate use and sharing of data
