Introduction
The IT Project Management Office (PMO) plays a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of IT projects that drive business value. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Agile Operations and Execution Leader to join our Enterprise IT PMO. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our Agile delivery processes, specifically within the SAFe framework. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project management principles.
Your Job
As an Agile Scrum Master you will be an instrumental part our delivery practice. You will be responsible for fostering collaboration, managing sprint cycles, and driving a culture of continuous development. Working closely with a peer Scrum Master or Product Owner, you will ensure clear communication and documentation of sprint outcomes and alignment across teams to achieve business goals effectively.
Responsibilities:
· Scrum Leadership:
o Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for up to two teams.
o Ensure all team members understand Agile principles and practices and are actively participating in ceremonies.
o Act as a servant leader, empowering teams to self-organize and deliver high-quality results.
· Sprint Management:
o Oversee the planning and execution of 2-week sprint cycles, ensuring teams meet their goals and deliverables.
o Facilitate the kick-off or restart of a sprint calendar, defining clear start and end dates to align with business priorities.
o Monitor sprint progress and remove blockers to maintain team velocity.
· Collaboration Across Geographies:
o Partner with peers in the United States to align sprint outcomes, priorities, and timelines [to ensure daily continuous delivery.]
o Communicate sprint goals, progress, and outcomes effectively to stakeholders across global teams.
o Foster a culture of shared accountability and transparency across distributed teams.
· Continuous Improvement:
o Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement by encouraging feedback, innovation, and process enhancements.
o Leverage metrics and retrospectives to identify areas for team growth and improvement.
· Stakeholder Communication:
o Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring alignment between Product Owners, team members, and leadership.
o Clearly document and present sprint outcomes to facilitate seamless collaboration and decision-making.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
· 6-7 years of real and applied experience as a Scrum Master, with demonstrated success leading 2-week sprint cycles
· Proven ability to establish or restart sprint calendars with clear start and end dates
· Experience managing Agile teams focused on data analytics and machine learning
· Excellent communication skills with a focus on clarity and collaboration across global teams (including the ability to start early or finish later in the workday)
· Deep understanding of Agile frameworks, including Scrum, and hands-on experience with Agile tools like Azure DevOps (ADO) or JIRA
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remove impediments for teams
Preferred Qualifications
· Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certifications.
· Experience working in a multinational organization with distributed teams.
· Familiarity with data analytics, machine learning workflows, and programming languages commonly used in these fields (e.g., Python, R).
