At AI Factory, we are excited to welcome a Product Owner to our team, dedicated to harnessing the power of LLMs in the financial industry.

About the job:

In this role, you will be at the forefront of managing and executing significant analytical projects within the DATA area.

Your responsibilities will include managing  a cross-functional team - including data scientists, machine learning engineers, data engineers, to Data experts and AI Technology representatives - aligning your product results with our strategic objectives.  

Furthermore, your responsibilities will also include coordinating the implementation of Gen AI data products with the business POs, which involves jointly defining the requirements, overseeing developments, and participating in the integration with the various back-office systems.

You will play a key role in identifying business opportunities and applying your management and data science product expertise to resolve dependencies and other impediments for the team. Ensuring that all team members understand the key objectives and that they work to reach the same goals.  Ensuring that all deliverables comply with Advanced Analytics discipline governance standards and best practices is an essential aspect of your role. Additionally, your experience will be vital in mentoring and guiding all  team members, helping them to grow in their roles and contributing to the overall success of our team.

Tasks

• Responsible for their product's backlog and for conducting the corresponding Agile ceremonies  (daily, planning, refinement, etc.) to ensure the committed deliveries in the PI

• Lead end-to-end advanced analytics projects, supervise the deployment of analytical models, and monitor the status and performance of models in production.

• Track project progress through the features committed in the corresponding PI.

• Document the business impact of the models developed by the Center of Expertise.

• Responsible for applying model governance to the data models and engines developed by their teams.

• Translate strategic KPIs into team objectives.

• Support Scrum masters in unblocking project impediments.

• Manage the MAPS of the data products within the SDA Suite

• Support the Program Manager in managing the AI Driven Automation Processes program of the AI Factory.

Training

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Specific Knowledge

• Plus 6-7 years of experience leading teams for data products development. Desirable: Knowledge and/or working experience in Gen AI projects.

• Knowledge of the life cycle of ML and other analytic models and a deep grasp of the LLMs ecosystem.

• The knowledge of BBVA's back-office processes, carried out by managers, contact center agents, Opplus, and third-party companies, will be considered an asset. For these processes, the ability to analyze and automate them through Gen AI products will be required.

• The scope of influence will be global across different geographies, but initially anchored in Spain. 

• Interactions with global strategic partners (OpenAI, Azure, GCP, Amazon) for the creation of data products.

• English and Spanish proficiency.
