Experian Consumer Services is looking for a Data Analyst II focusing on user behavior reporting and working with the partners to provide performance updates, applicable insights, and deep-dive analyses. As a Data Analyst II, you will be an important member of the Data Science and Analytics Team responsible for translating our requirements to data questions, writing complex SQL queries to extract the appropriate data from the data warehouse, compiling and cleansing the information, analyzing the data, providing information/insights to the partners by preparing reports/dashboards and optimizing our reporting processes. You will employ strategic data analysis to provide insight into online behaviors and identify opportunities to maximize outcome. You will have a focus on Customer Relations Management (CRM) marketing to have in-depth understanding of user engagement with the outbound communications, such as email, mobile push, sms, and customer journey across all aspect within the brand. You will work with multiple areas of the business including CRM program management, Operation, Product, UX, Technology and Data Enablement.
Technical expertise around data, reporting and analytical approaches and how they can be applied to improve business decision-making and outcomes. You will be a pro-active partner with the business and will excel in an environment where data collection, creative solutioning, exploration of opportunity and delivery of insight is an expected function of the position. You will report into the Senior Analytics Manager.
What you'll do
- Extract data from the data warehouse to find insights into online behaviors and identify engagement opportunities.
- Maintain Tableau dashboards.
- Analyze member activity, correlating it with retention and revenue for applicable insights.
- Conduct ongoing analyses of CRM marketing projects and provide performance analytics to partners.
- Identify and analyze trends, patterns, and relationships in data to improve product engagement.
- Use analytical tools to understand customer behavior and improve the customer experience.
- Work with BI and Engineering to resolve data issues.
- Deliver quick dashboard turnarounds, identify trends/issues, and make business recommendations.
- Collaborate with teams to develop a data infrastructure.
- Present analytical results to partners to influence decisions.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in analytics/statistics in an internet environment.
- Proficient in SQL and relational database theory.
- Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Alteryx, AWS Airflow) and real-time dashboards.
- Analytical skills to combine data into applicable insights.
- Knowledge of data sets, warehouses, mining, and analysis techniques.
- Identify trends and anomalies in online behaviors.
- Interaction at all organizational levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Unica.
- Understanding of multivariate A/B testing and Measurement management.
- Web analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics Premium).
- Advanced Excel (can perform complex functions) and consolidate insight in PowerPoint.
