Job Overview

You will be working on a new, unannounced, multiplayer, cross-platform flagship Game with a team of highly experienced engineers. You will be focused on the session-to-session game cycle (game meta), which covers a significant part of the project and includes features such as authorization, account progression, game commerce, quests, statistics, socialization, matchmaking and many other aspects.

What will you do?

  • Develop scalable, reliable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance microservices that support robust multiplayer experiences.
  • Implement client-server architecture to ensure efficient and stable communication between game clients and backend services.
  • Actively participate in all aspects of game development, from technical design and coding to working on game infrastructure set up and deploy.
  • Collaborate with team members located in different countries, including other developers, designers, and testers, to ensure seamless integration of all game components.
  • Optimize and maintain codebase and libraries, focusing on reusability, performance, scalability and reliability.

What are we looking for?

  • Extensive experience in web backend development
  • Extensive experience in working with relational databases
  • Strong proficiency in Python development
  • Strong knowledge of basic data structures and algorithms
  • Experience in developing asynchronous/multithreaded applications
  • High ability to learn new technologies and programming languages
  • Ambitions to grow up, learn new and push the boundaries of what's possible in the game development

What additional skills will help you stand out?

  • Passion for computer games
  • Experience with C++ development
  • Experience with Rust development
  • Experience in working with Kafka, RabbitMQ
  • Experience in working with NoSQL databases
  • Experience in working with Kubernetes, Helm, AWS
  • Experience in working with Nginx, HAProxy, Envoy
The salary range for this role in Vilnius is EUR 4500-6500 monthly gross.
