Roles & Responsibilities:

The candidate should have a strong track record in the applied use of databases, reporting and statistics, a comprehensive understanding of business modelling and the ability to generate meaningful insights from data.

The candidate should also be a pro-active communicator, able to work closely with client, cross functional teams and other Marketing Science Unit (MSU) team members.

  • Conduct hands-on different aspects of analytics requests such as target setting, business performance analysis, social sentiment deep dive analysis
  • Set up and maintain dashboard reporting (Power BI, Datorama, etc.) and insight implication to key stakeholders
  • Manage client requests and expectations for analytics projects while adhering to the committed timelines.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage analytical tools and platforms (E.g., R, SQL, VBA, Python) to achieve better efficiency / automation of the workstreams within MSU team.

    The three primary KPIs for this role:
  • Timely delivery of data analysis reports and presentations.
  • A proactive approach to create and promote an analytics culture within the team
  • Support the team lead to manage and set clear expectations with client and internal

Skills and Competencies:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in numerical or marketing discipline with 5-8 years of work experience in business consultancy, market research or data analysis role.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Familiar with one or more of R, Python or SAS.
  • Experience with social listening tool (e.g. Brand watch)
  • Experience with database (e.g. SQL) and visualization tools (e.g. power bi, tableau, Datorama)
  • An in-depth understanding and prior application of social sentiment analytics and econometrics would be particularly valuable.
  • A team player, well conversant, confident individual with excellent presentation skills.
  • Prior experience of attending to global/large domestic accounts while staying abreast with latest product trends and platforms.
