POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for experienced, passionate, and resourceful Senior QA Engineers to join our backend team. As a Senior QA Backend Engineer, you will work cross-functionally with various teams and contribute to activities such as test design, implementation, and automation, as well as modifying the automation test pipeline for our backend services. 

This position will ideally be hybrid from our Bangkok office, as part of our expanding site location. EarnIn provides excellent benefits for our employees, including healthcare, internet/cell phone reimbursement, a learning and development stipend, and opportunities to travel to our Palo Alto HQ.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for backend services, ensuring reliable test coverage for APIs, integrations, and microservices.
• Collaborate closely with product, development, and cross-functional teams (data science, design, product, marketing, analytics) to understand product architecture and requirements.
• Create well-structured test plans and implement automation strategies to improve test efficiency and reliability.
• Track and analyze QA metrics, identifying trends and continuously improving test automation frameworks and processes.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated testing into deployment workflows.
• Work with Docker to test and validate containerized applications in microservices environments.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to other engineers, driving best practices in automation and fostering a quality-first engineering culture.

What We’re Looking For:

• 4+ years of experience as a QA Engineer with a strong focus on automation testing.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proficiency in writing automated tests for backend services, APIs, and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices for backend testing.
• Hands-on experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and microservices architecture is a strong plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) is a plus.
• Ability to learn and work with multiple programming languages—our backend services are built using Python, C#, .NET, Kotlin, and Go.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
