About the project:
We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect/Principal Data Engineer with expertise in Databricks and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with another Architect to develop a comprehensive migration plan, engage with stakeholders to gain their buy-in, and address any challenges that arise.
You will be:
collaborating closely with another Architect to design and implement a detailed migration plan,
communicating the migration plan effectively to stakeholders and secure their support,
addressing and resolving any challenges or concerns raised by stakeholders,
working on-site in the Netherlands (Amsterdam) for 2-3 days per week, with the possibility of reduced on-site presence in the future,
ensuring the migration process aligns with best practices and industry standards.
Requirements
Your profile:
ready to start immediately,
proven experience with Databricks and Google Cloud Platform (GCP),
experience with large-scale data migrations,
strong background in data engineering and cloud infrastructure,
ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment,
flexibility to travel and work on-site in the Netherlands as needed,
familiar with modern cloud native data stack,
hands-on experience of building and maintaining Spark applications,
fundamental understanding of various Parquet, Delta Lake and other OTFs file formats,
strong written and verbal English communication skill and proficient in communication with non-technical stakeholders.
Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
