About the Relauncher Program

 

The Relauncher Program is a 6-month structured initiative designed to enable experienced women like you relaunch your career in tech & digital, after a career break. 

 

It’s an excellent opportunity for mid-to-senior-level engineers with a passion for technology who are ready to re-enter the workforce, with plenty of support along the way.

 

As part of the program, you'll receive mentoring, coaching, online & classroom learning  and hands-on experience working on real projects.

This role sits within the Data Team and will contribute to enable our EDP eco system to meet the analytics and reporting requirements for business.

As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining our Enterprise Data Platform. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and optimize data pipelines to support data analytics and mobilisation use cases across the organisation.

 

About the role:

  • Participate in the design and implementation of data solutions to meet business, technical and user requirements.
  • Implement data cleansing and transformation logic within Snowflake using dbt Core and Python.
  • Develop and maintain data models in bronze, silver and gold layers/ data products using dbt Core to create consumable datasets for reporting and analysis.
  • Monitor data pipelines and contribute to implementing data validation checks to identify and address data anomalies proactively.
  • Monitor and support the data pipelines in production environments and contribute towards incident fixes and resolution.
  • Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects using Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth integration of data pipelines into the overall software delivery process.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery.

 

About you and your skills:

  • Experience as a Data Engineer or a similar role in a mature Data warehouse environment.
  • Proven commercial experience with cloud-based platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure and Azure Data Factory.
  • Solid hands-on experience in Python and SQL essential.
  • Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory (ADF), dbt and Snowflake.
  • Proven experience in data modelling, analysis, and profiling
  • Experience in applying DevOps practices, SDLC, CI/CD principles to build automated pipelines and deployment.
  • In-depth understanding of data engineering practices and big data technologies.
  • Experience with Source code control – GitHub etc.
