The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic APAC Business Manager to drive the growth of our Sustainable Finance Data Solutions across the Asia-Pacific region. This senior role requires an entrepreneurial self-starter who can autonomously identify and develop business opportunities, collaborate with regional sales teams, and foster strategic partnerships with third-party stakeholders.

What You’ll Do:

• Drive Business Growth: Expand market presence by identifying new revenue opportunities and executing a regional strategy for Sustainable Finance Data Solutions.
• Collaborate with Sales Teams: Work closely with local sales teams to ensure effective positioning of our sustainability-related datasets, supporting client engagement and deal execution.
• Develop Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with key third parties, including regulators, exchanges, data providers, and industry bodies, to enhance our product offerings and market influence.
• Stay Ahead of Market Trends: Keep informed on major sustainability trends, regulatory changes, and sustainable finance data use cases that impact financial institutions and investment strategies.
• Enhance Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with core clients, understanding their sustainable finance and risk data needs and integrating their feedback into product evolution.
• Ensure Product Excellence: Work with internal teams—including Product, Engineering, and Data—to refine and optimize data solutions that align with client demands.
• Champion Innovation: Support clients in leveraging sustainable finance data alongside advanced analytics, AI, and data science techniques to gain a competitive edge.

 

You will need to have: 

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience within financial services or financial technology companies
• Client facing experience either in Product Management or Sales roles, interacting with global financial institutions, within the past 3 years
• Working experience with financial technology or financial technology data solutions covering, but not limited to Fixed Income, FX, Equities or Derivative solutions
• Deep understanding of sustainable finance, including regulatory frameworks, climate risk, and impact investing trends
• Proven ability to independently drive business growth, ideally within financial data, sustainability, or related sectors
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of developing successful go-to-market strategies and executing against revenue targets
• Experience working with senior clients and decision makers at regional and global financial institutions, asset managers, hedge funds, and research teams, understanding their data needs and challenges
• Ability to navigate and collaborate within a complex, matrixed global organization
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with senior stakeholders and external partners
• Problem solving skills to deconstruct client problems with a data driven approach when making a business case for resources, enhancements, and getting management buy-in
• Business level proficiency in English, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organisation
• Bachelor’s degree or degree-equivalent qualifications

 

We'd love to see:

• Basic proficiency in Python, R, or other programming languages typically used in data science,
• Familiarity with data science and quantitative investing workflows
• Business level proficiency in Mandarin, Japanese, or an additional Asian language
