About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect to join our team and lead the design and implementation of a data mesh architecture on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data architecture principles, cloud technologies, and a proven track record of delivering scalable and robust data solutions.

What will your day look like?

• Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to solve complex data problems and implement data mesh principles.
• Review and provide feedback on architectural designs and technical documentation.
• Participate in meetings with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in data architecture and cloud technologies, and share your knowledge with the team.
• Work on proof-of-concept projects to evaluate new tools and technologies for potential adoption.
• Ensure that all data solutions adhere to governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Contribute to the domain roadmap and strategy that align with business goals and values.
• Cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, fostering mentorship, collaboration, and knowledge sharing within the team.

What will you bring?

• Architecture Excellence: You will lead the architecture and design of a data mesh framework on GCP, ensuring it is scalable, reliable, and high-performing. You will also develop and maintain architectural blueprints, technical documentation, and design patterns for data mesh solutions.
• Proven Leadership: You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, guiding them in adopting data mesh concepts and GCP services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders, to define and implement data mesh principles and best practices.
• Architecting for Compliance: You will ensure that data governance, security, and compliance standards are met across all data mesh implementations.
• Industry Awareness: You will evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, best practices, and frameworks to enhance our environment.
• Analytical Thinking: You will have the ability to break down complex technical challenges into clear, actionable strategies and plans.
• Cloud Development: You will bring experience with cloud-based architecture using GCP (preferred), AWS, or Azure.
• Communication Skills: You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
