Job Description:

USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments.

Data Modeling Engineer: Creates, updates, and optimizes data models that align with business requirements and industry standards. Ensures that data models remain relevant, efficient, and scalable as data needs evolve. Uses data modeling tools to complete and deliver data definition language, physical, and logical model objects. Applies data quality industry standards adhering to specific data quality requirements, policies, and procedures. Creates and implements standard data elements and data models to facilitate data quality and perform data quality analysis, supporting detection and prevention of data defects before they corrupt databases or end user applications. Ensures that information is stored, organized, and retrieved efficiently within databases. Manages the EMMA and ERWIN applications.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education and Experience: Requires a Master's degree in Data Science or closely related discipline and 8+ years of experience
  • Required Certifications: Cloud+ or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC
  • Desired Certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation, Oracle Certified Specialist Data Modeling and Design; or Data Modeling Institute Certified Data Modeler (CDM)
  • Security Clearance: minimum Top Secret.  Must be willing to Obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility. TS/SCI preferred
  • Location: Onsite - Offutt AFB, Omaha, NE

The likely salary range for this position is $125,528 - $169,832. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
